Dangerous Driving Causing Death

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Homicide Unit has charged a 25-year-old male with Dangerous Driving Causing Death in relation to the death of a female cyclist. On September 24th at approximately 2:30 am, Chanel Charette, 33 years old, who was on a bike, was in a collision with a vehicle driven by an individual. The woman left the scene and attended the hospital where she passed several days later on September 26th.
Tony BERA, 25 years old, of Ottawa is charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death. He will attend a show cause hearing on September 29th.
