Draffin Court Homicide Investigation; police seeking witnesses
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, November 23, 2023 3:10 pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit continues to investigate a shooting incident this morning that left one person dead, and another with life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 6:10 am, police and first responders rushed to Draffin Court in response to calls for service about shots fired.
On scene, one person was located deceased, and another a 28-year-old man, was transported by Ottawa Paramedics to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in critical condition.
The deceased has been identified as VanDame Munga, 28 years old.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking for any witnesses to come forward.
No arrests have been made at this time. Investigators believe that this incident was targeted.
