Fatal collision on Albion Rd: police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred last night.

At approximately 11:50 p.m., police were called to Albion Road South between Rideau Road and Tullamore Street in response to a collision involving a driver having struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the fatal collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and have not yet spoken to police.

Serious Motor Vehicle Collision- Road Closure

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a serious motor vehicle collision. The collision occurred shortly after midnight near the intersection of Albion Rd and Rideau Rd.

There will be road closures in the area, Albion Rd is closed from Rideau Rd to Mitch Owens Rd, until further notice to allow for investigation of the incident.
