Fatal Collision on Highway 174 near Peter Harkness Lane

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Wednesday January 10^th.

At approximately 5:30 pm, officers were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the 174 near Peter Harkness Lane.

One of the drivers, an 85-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The other driver was transported to the hospital with non-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage of this incident and have not yet spoken to police.
