Fatal collision on Mitch Owens Road: Police seeking witnesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, December 4, 2024    9:06 a.m.

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigations Unit is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on Tuesday, December 3.

Just after 11 p.m., officers were called near the intersection of Mitch Owens Road and Old Prescott Road in response to a single-vehicle collision.

Tragically, a man in his 20s was declared deceased in hospital. A woman in her 20s suffered minor injuries.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam/doorbell footage of this incident but has not yet spoken to police. 

We would like to thank the witness to the collision, as well as Ottawa Fire Services and the Ottawa Paramedic Service, for their care and life-saving attempts at the scene.
