Four guns seized this weekend

(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit has seized four guns in two separate incidents over the weekend. 

Three guns were seized, two loaded handguns and one shotgun, following the execution of a search warrant by the Guns and Gangs Unit, in the 2200 block of Riverside drive in the evening of Friday January 10, 2020. 

Frontline officers seized a loaded handgun following a traffic stop on the Vanier Parkway near the onramp to highway 417 West, just before midnight on Saturday January 11^th. 

Arrests have been made in both incidents and the investigations are ongoing.
