Guns and Gangs investigates two related shots fired incidents on Wednesday
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, February 25, 2022 12:45pm
(Ottawa) – The Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating after shots were fired at a residence on Montreal Road and on Grafton Crescent on February 23rd.
At about 10:35pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a call about shots fired in the 2000 block of Montreal Road. Shell casings were found. There were no reports of injuries or damage to property. While there, officers believed they heard gun shots elsewhere.
A second incident was reported the next morning, after shell casings matching those found at the first location were located in the 2100 block of Grafton Crescent by a pedestrian. Due to the timing, proximity and shell casing match, investigators believe the incidents are related.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about these incidents. They are also looking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time or those who have dashcam or security footage.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5050.
