Guns & Gangs Unit Investigating Shooting on York Street

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Saturday, Jan 9th, 2021 – 3:45 PM
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service continues to investigate a shooting that took place at approximately at 11:20PM on the 8th day of January, on the 300 block of York Street. There were no injuries sustained and it is believed to have been a targeted shooting. The investigation has revealed that one bullet penetrated a residence window and narrowly missed an occupant of the house. This occupant was not believed to be the intended target.
The Guns & Gangs Unit is looking for assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the shooting and a person of interest (see picture). A video of the shooting is also available here: https://youtu.be/Yqcz6gwoYGM
