Man charged in George Street homicide: Victim identified
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, September 13, 2024 5:15 p.m.
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the death of a man that occurred on George Street last evening.
The victim is identified as Stephen Pedicelli, 45-years-old, of Montreal.
The Homicide Unit has charged Jean Paul THERAGENE, 31-years-old, of Ottawa, with second-degree murder. He appeared in court today.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 100 block of George Street on Thursday, September 12, 2024, just after 10:30 p.m.
One male has been confirmed deceased.
There is no known threat to public safety at this time.
There will continue to be a significant police presence in the area, along with road closures.
People are asked to please avoid the area.
No further information will be released pending next-of-kin notifications.
