Homicide Investigation on Ste Monique Street; charge laid

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit investigated the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred on Monday, October 28^th at approximately 7:50 pm in the 200 block of Ste Monique Street in Vanier.

The victim has been identified as 50 year old Jean Cowie of Ottawa.

Elianne ASSINEWAI, 58 years old, of Ottawa, has been charged with Second degree murder. She is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.
