Caldwell Avenue Homicide – suspect arrested

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service has arrested and charged 21-year-old Tyler LEONARD-MACLEOD in the shooting death of 19-year-old Zachary Tiglik that occurred on June 29^th in the 1500 block of Caldwell Avenue.

LEONARD-MACLEOD will be appearing in court today.

Canada-Wide Warrant issued for Homicide on Caldwell Avenue

(Ottawa) – A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of an individual in relation to the homicide on Caldwell Avenue on June 29^th.

Tyler LEONARD-MACLEOD, age 21, of Ottawa, is wanted for second degree murder in the shooting of Zachary Tiglik.  

LEONARD-MACLEOD is described as a white male, medium build, with a tattoo of the word “Family” on his left forearm.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach him, please call 911.

Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call police. Anyone with information is asked to the Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493.

Homicide Investigation - shooting on Caldwell Avenue

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting death of 19-year-old man that occurred at 9:26 pm on Thursday June 29^th in the 1500 block of Caldwell Avenue.

The victim has been identified as Zachary Tiglik of Ottawa.

There is no suspect description available at this time.

The Homicide Unit does not believe that there is a link between this shooting homicide and the one on Raven Avenue.

Investigators would like to speak with persons who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.
