(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has charged two adults in the February 15th stabbing death of 25-year-old Omar Jonathan Grant of Ottawa.
25-year-old Jacob BLANCHARD appeared in court today and was remanded into custody.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 25-year-old Samuel LAURIN-GAUVREAU of Ottawa for charges of second-degree murder and assault with a weapon.

Homicide Investigation – St. Laurent Boulevard Accused person identified
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has charged one adult in the February 15th stabbing death of 25-year-old Omar Jonathan Grant of Ottawa.
25-year-old Jacob BLANCHARD is charged with second degree murder and assault with a weapon. He will be appearing in court in the morning of February 17th.
A warrant is being sought for the arrest of a second person for the same charges.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has identified last night’s murder victim as 25-year-old Omar Jonathan Grant of Ottawa.
One person is in police custody and the investigation is continuing.

Homicide Investigation – St. Laurent Boulevard
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the murder of a twenty-five-year-old male that occurred at 9:25pm on February 15th in the 500 block of St. Laurent Boulevard.
The victim is not being identified at this time pending next of kin notification.
Police do not believe there is any risk to the public at large.
No persons are in custody and the investigation is continuing.
