(Ottawa)— On Saturday, August 3, 2024 at approximately 8:35pm, the Ottawa Police Service were called to assist our city partners from Ottawa Fire Services with a suspicious and hazardous situation. Ottawa Police were advised some patrons were having difficulty breathing.
Officers on scene were able to establish that an irritant was dispersed inside the building.
Rideau Street was closed for a short period of time. The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information who has not spoken to the police is asked to call Central District Criminal Investigations at 613-236-1222, extension 5166.
Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
