Man Arrested Following Graduation Disruption - with corrections

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police have arrested one man following an assault of a security guard at a downtown convention centre.
On Sunday morning, several individuals disrupted a university graduation ceremony being held at the Shaw Centre.
As the individuals were being removed, an individual used a noxious substance on a security guard. The security guard was seen by paramedics but she did not require hospitalization.
Police located the individual in the area of Tabaret Hall and later arrested him when it was safe to do so.
A 27-year-old man is facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, administering a noxious substance and mischief. They will appear in court this morning.
