Man charged with Indecent act and Voyeurism offences - SACA seeking further victims

(Ottawa) –Today, the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit (SACA) charged Christopher NELMS, 43 years old of Ottawa with one count of Indecent act and one count of Voyeurism.
On May 27th, 2019, in a commercial business located in the 400 block of Earl Grey Dr in Kanata, two women noticed that a man was staring at them in a suspicious manner, and they reported the incident to police. The investigation revealed that the man was filming the women while exposing his genitals.
SACA investigators are concerned there could be more victims.
The Ottawa Police will respect a victim’s wishes to pursue or not pursue the matter before the courts. The reporting of these incidents by victims to police is key for investigators to identify suspects and determine crime trends.
