Man charged with possession of child pornography

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) has arrested and charged an Ottawa man following a joint investigation with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
On May 23rd, the Ottawa Police received information from the CBSA regarding an Ottawa man making attempts to procure items and materials that meet the definition of child pornography. Monday, with the assistance of the CBSA and multiple OPS sections, the man was arrested.
A 53-year-old man of Ottawa, was charged with the following:
- Importation of child pornography, x2
- Unlawfully possessing child pornography, x2
He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
