Man charged with sexual assault involving two separate incidents

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section charged an Ottawa man following two investigations into allegations of sexual assault.
The first incident happened in November 2021 and involved a student at the high school where the accused taught in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. It was immediately reported to police and an investigation was started.
The second complaint involved incidents occurring between January and September of 2018, involving a child in before and after school private childcare in the accused’s home in Findlay Creek. This complaint was made in July 2022 and an investigation was started.
Mr. Anis-Ur REHMAN, 68 years old, of Ottawa is charged with one count of Sexual Interference, one count of Invitation to Sexual Touching, Sexual Exploitation and Forcible Confinement.
SACA investigators are concerned there could be other victims.
