Man wanted in Rideau Street stabbing incident
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, July 14, 2022 2:00pm
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Central Investigations Unit is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred this morning at approximately 10 am.
A man and woman were having an altercation and a third person, a man who observed this dispute, attempted to separate the two parties.
The suspect involved in the dispute proceeded to stab the man. He was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Jaycob MAINVILLE (see photo).
He is currently wanted in relation to this stabbing. Although this was an isolated incident, he is considered armed and dangerous.
If you see MAINVILLE, do not approach. Call 911.
