Update: McNabb Park investigation now concluded

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has concluded their investigation into a suspicious death on April 12th. Investigators determined that no criminal offence occurred; and as such, no criminal charge will be laid.
The death has been deemed accidental and the victim will not be identified.

Update: McNabb Park Homicide Investigation
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit advises that the investigation remains ongoing; however, no suspects are wanted, and all persons involved in this incident have been identified.
There is no ongoing threat to public safety.
The name of the victim will not be released at this time, as the notification of next of kin process has not been completed.

McNabb Park Homicide Investigation; police seeking witnesses
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating a suspicious death Friday evening at McNabb Park.
Police and emergency responders were called to the area at 7:55 pm for a possible fight.
A 16-year-old was located with injuries and transported to a local hospital.
He later succumbed to his injuries while in hospital.
No arrests have been made.
Police do not believe there is an ongoing risk to public safety. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking for any witnesses to come forward.
