One year anniversary of fatal hit-and-run collision at Montreal Road and Vanier Parkway, police seeking public tips to identify the driver

(Ottawa) – This week marks the one year anniversary of the fatal hit-and-run collision that took the life of 36 year old Ahshellla Huxtable on September 7th, 2019 just before 4:00pm at the intersection of Vanier Parkway and Montreal Road.
The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit is making a public appeal for more tips. The red Nissan Altima involved in the collision was located last September (see photo); however the driver has yet to be identified.
“I’d like to say thank-you to those individuals in Ottawa who knew Ahshellla and were touched by her life,’ said Ahshellla’s father, Wayne Potts. “I want to say Chi-Meegwetch! - a Big Thank you in Ojibway - for sharing your memories of her with myself and other family members. If there is anyone out there that has any information to help us solve the mystery of who was driving the vehicle involved in my daughter’s loss of life, please contact the authorities in Ottawa.”

Update: Fatal collision at Montreal Road and Vanier Parkway – Vehicle located, seeking witnesses
(Ottawa)--The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating the vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and run collision at the intersection of Montreal Road and Vanier Parkway on Saturday, September 7th.
The investigation is ongoing and investigators continue to ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.

Fatal collision at Montreal Road and Vanier Parkway – police looking for tips to locate vehicle and driver
The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit is looking for public assistance to identify the driver and locate the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and run collision that occurred at approx. 4:00pm at the intersection of Montreal Road and Vanier Parkway on Saturday, September 7th.
A 36 year old female pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries at the time, and she succumbed to her injuries in hospital this evening.
The victim, Ahshellla Huxtable, is being identified publicly at the request of her family.
She was seriously injured when she came into contact with a red Nissan Altima that was entering onto Vanier Parkway southbound.
Collision investigators are looking fora 2013-2015 red 4-door Nissan Altima. No damage is expected to be showing on the vehicle as a result of the collision (see pictures).
