Ottawa Police investigate suspicious fires/Arsons in Vanier

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit is actively investigating three recent fires in the Vanier area.
Since Saturday, three fires have been reported in the Vanier area and investigators are determining if they are related.
The three fires were at:
- 200 block of Hannah - November 4 at 1:50am
- 1-100 block of Barrette - November 4 at 5:00am
- 100 block of Longpré – October 31 at 3:50am
The Arson Unit, the Vanier Neighborhood Resource Team (NRT) and Frontline patrol officers are deploying more resources focusing in an effort to solve these crimes and prevent others.
We understand the concerns raised by the community about these incidents and the Ottawa Police take these investigations very seriously. Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed these incidents either personally or by viewing their home security footage for any persons on the affected streets before or after the time of the fires.
