Ottawa Police Service announces 2024 Gala Beneficiaries
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, July 31, 2024 10:35 am
(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is pleased to announce the beneficiaries for the 2024 OPS Gala. This year, the gala will support two exceptional organizations dedicated to making a positive impact in our community: the Sexual Assault Support Center of Ottawa and the Multifaith Housing Initiative.
The Sexual Assault Support Center of Ottawa has been providing crucial support, counseling, and resources to survivors of sexual assault for over a decade. Their tireless efforts in aiding survivors and raising awareness about sexual violence have made a significant difference in the lives of countless individuals in Ottawa.
The Multifaith Housing Initiative has been instrumental in addressing homelessness and housing insecurity in our community. Through its innovative programs and partnerships, it has helped provide safe and affordable housing options for individuals and families of diverse backgrounds and faiths.
The 2024 OPS Gala aims to raise vital funds to support the important work of these two organizations. By coming together as a community, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
The Gala, which will take place on Saturday, November 2nd, will feature a night of dinner, dancing, fundraising activities, and opportunities to learn more about the incredible work being done in our community.
We want to thank everyone who applied this year. Your work helps to make our city more inclusive by helping those most in need. If you were not selected this year, we encourage you to apply again next year.
