Persons of interest to identify in Cyrville Road homicide

(Ottawa) – The Homicide Unit is seeking public assistance to identify two persons of interest in the shooting on Cyrville and Meadowbrook Roads that left a 27-year-old male dead.

Investigators are releasing photographs of the two men who were captured around 12:50am on May 30, 2021 shortly after the shooting happened.

Update: Cyrville Road/Meadowbrook Road Homicide - Shooting victim identified

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a twenty-seven-year-old man that occurred around 12:50 am today in the area of Cyrville and Meadowbrook in Ottawa’s east end.   

The victim has been identified as Warsama Youssouf of Ottawa.

Homicide Investigation: Cyrville Road/Meadowbrook Road 

(Ottawa)- The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting death of a man that occurred early this morning. 

Police and emergency responders were called to an address at the intersection of Meadowbrook Road and Cyrville Road at about 12:50 a.m. after reports of gunshots.

They found a man in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Traffic Alert:  Police operation on Meadowbrook Road 

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service is advising Meadowbrook Road is closed from Ridgebrook Drive to Cyrville Road in both directions for an undetermined period of time as a result of a shooting investigation.
