Photos Related to December 2016 Homicide Investigation Released by Unsolved Homicide Task Force

(Ottawa) – New photos of a vehicle believed to be following homicide victim Leslie Mwakio before his death have been released by the Ottawa Police Service Unsolved Homicide Task Force.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle and anyone associated with it.
The vehicle is believed to be involved in the Leslie Mwakio homicide that occurred on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016.
The dark-coloured sedan was captured on security cameras in the area of Loretta Avenue and Gladstone Avenue following the victim’s vehicle just after 10:30 p.m. in December 2016.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or the identity of the occupants are asked to contact the Homicide Task Force at 613-236-1222, ext. 5493.

Homicide investigation on Bayswater Avenue
(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Unit is investigating a homicide at 1-100 block of Bayswater Avenue.
At 10:40pm on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016, Ottawa Police received numerous 911 calls regarding gun shots in the Bayswater Avenue area. Officers located a male on scene with life threatening injuries resulting from a gun shot. He was transported to hospital. Leslie Mwakio, 17 of Ottawa, succumbed to his injuries at hospital.
Major Crime Unit continues to investigate.
