Police release photos of vehicle used by suspect to commit two Commercial Robberies in January

(Ottawa) – Robbery investigators are releasing photos of the suspect vehicle used in two commercial robberies in January. Police believe both robberies were committed by the same suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance to identify him.
The first incident happened on January 17, 2022, at about 9:20pm. A man entered a commercial business in the 1300 block of Clyde Avenue and asked for rolling papers. When asked for identification, he produced a firearm. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no reported injuries.
The second incident occurred on January 18, 2022, at approximately 8:10pm. The suspect entered a commercial business located in the 1-100 block of Beechwood Avenue, asked for rolling papers and produced a firearm. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no reported injuries.
The suspect is described as a Black man, between 20-30 years old, 5’5” (165cm), with a large nose.
The vehicle is described as a 4-door red sedan, possibly a 2014 Honda Civic.

Suspect to identify in two Commercial Robberies this January
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Robbery Unit is seeking the public's help to identify a man involved in two separate incidents in Ottawa.
On January 17th, 2022, at about 9:20pm, a man entered a commercial business located in the 1300 block of Clyde Avenue. He asked for rolling papers then produced a firearm when he was asked for identification. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no reported injuries.
In this incident, the suspect was described as a Black man, between 20-30 years old, 5’5” (165cm), with a large nose. He was wearing a black ski mask, light grey or white hooded sweater, dark blue jeans, white sneakers, and light grey workers gloves with darker grey silicone palms (see photos).
The second incident occurred on January 18th, 2022, at approximately 8:10pm. The suspect entered a commercial business located in the 1-100 block of Beechwood Avenue and asked for rolling papers and produced a firearm. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no reported injuries. (see photos).
Investigators believe these two incidents are related to the same man and are asking anyone with information to contact the Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5116.
