Police seek public’s help to identify Meadowlands Drive Hit & Run driver and vehicle - Updated
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, February 24, 2022 11:59am
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s help to identify the driver and vehicle involved in a hit and run collision on February 13th that critically injured a 13-year-old girl.
The collision happened at 3:46pm as a vehicle traveling westbound on Meadowlands Drive struck a pedestrian.
A vehicle of interest being sought is described as a black, 2006-2011 Honda Civic two-door coupe (see photos).
The victim remains in hospital in serious condition.

Update: Hit & Run Motor Vehicle Collision on Meadowlands (with correction and addition)
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Collisions Unit is investigating a collision involving a motor vehicle striking a 13 year old pedestrian who suffered critical injuries and is being treated at hospital. This collision occurred in the area of Meadowlands Drive near Orkney Private around 3:50pm on February 13.
Police are looking to locate the involved vehicle which fled the scene and identify the driver.
The involved vehicle is described as a newer model, smaller dark coloured sedan with tinted windows. This vehicle would likely have front end damage, possibly windshield damage.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed, assisted emergency responders, or may have dashcam footage of this incident that have not yet spoken to police.

- Police are looking to locate the involved vehicle which fled the scene and identify the driver.
The involved vehicle is described as a newer model, smaller dark coloured sedan, possibly blue in colour. This vehicle would likely have front end damage, possibly windshield damage.
