Police seeking witnesses in ByWard Market shooting

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred on Saturday, October 22, 2022 in the ByWard Market.

At approximately 3:13 am, frontline patrol officers responded to a call about shots fired in the area of Murray St and Dalhousie St. Two people went to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident, was in the area at the time or has dashcam or security footage to contact the Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050.
