Police seeking witnesses to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian on Galetta Side Rd

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Collision Unit Investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on February 18^th, 2022. 

At approximately 6:20pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Galetta Side Road on the overpass of the 417 highway. 

The pedestrian, a 34 year old man from Arnprior, was walking on Galetta Side Road when he was struck by a 2010 black Ford F150 pickup that was travelling southbound on Galetta Side Road.  He was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed or saw a pedestrian on Galetta Side Road, assisted emergency responders, or may have dashcam footage of this incident that have not yet spoken to police.
