Police seeking witnesses to a fatal collision on Merivale Road

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Collision Unit Investigators are seeking witnesses to a serious collision that occurred on Friday, July 1^st, 2022. 

At approximately 10:54 am, Frontline patrol officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Merivale Road and Baseline Road. 

The involved vehicles were a black 2020 Ford F150 pulling an orange trailer and a 2010 red Dodge Journey. The driver of the Dodge Journey, a 65-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and have not yet spoken to police.
