Police seeking witnesses to a road rage incident on Riverside Drive
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, June 6, 2022 3:10 pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is seeking witnesses to a road rage incident that resulted in an assault on June 2nd, 2022. At approximately 8:00 am, Frontline patrol officers responded to a call about an assault at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Frobisher Lane.
Two suspects, in one of the involved vehicles, assaulted the driver of the other vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, a man in his 50s, sustained minor injuries. He was driving an older blue Toyota Corolla.
The suspects’ vehicle is described as a Black Ford Fusion with Ontario licence plates. The driver is described as a Caucasian man in his 20s, 5’ 8" (173 cm), 165 lbs (75 kg) with long brown hair and tattoos on both arms. He spoke English with a French accent. The front passenger is described as a Caucasian man in his 40s, 5’ 11" (180 cm), 165 lbs (75 kg), with long brown greasy hair with tattoos.
Of note, another man was onboard the suspects’ vehicle sitting on the rear seat. He is described as a Caucasian man with tattoos. He was not involved in the assault.
The investigator would like to speak with anyone who specifically has identifying information such as a licence plate, who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage of this incident and has not yet spoken to police.
