Public assistance sought to identify Sexual Assault suspect

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is looking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a sexual assault that occurred in the evening of December 1^st, 2022.

Between the hours of 9:30pm and 11:00pm, the victim was inside an apartment building in the area of Maclaren Street and Metcalfe Street. The victim was approached by an unknown male and sexually assaulted.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 23-29 years old, approximately 6’0 (183 cm) tall with a thin build. He has blue eyes, short blond hair, wearing blue jeans and a grey pulled up hooded sweatshirt.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed something suspicious in the area between 9:30 pm and 11:00pm or a resident in the area with a security camera to contact the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault Child Abuse Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5944.
