Rideau Street robbery suspect to identify

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a commercial robbery in the 300 block of Rideau Street on Tuesday, October 22.
At approximately 11:04 a.m., a suspect entered the store and approached the clerk, requesting lottery tickets. When the clerk presented the tray, the suspect attempted to seize the tickets but was unsuccessful. The suspect then struck the clerk and fled the store as 9-1-1 was being called.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 20 to 25 years old, and 5’ 8” (173 cm) tall. He was wearing black tuque with orange writing, green sweater and orange pattern, light blue jeans, carrying some sort of greenish towel with many 'peace' symbols on it.
