Second arrest in Grenfell Crescent shooting

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit has charged a second person in relation to a shooting that occurred on Saturday, November 12, 2022 on Grenfell Crescent.

Ahmed SAMI, 22-years-old, of Ottawa, has been charged with multiple firearm-related offences, including discharging a firearm, assault, and other drug charges.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident or other shootings that have occurred in the City of Ottawa. They are encouraged to contact the Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050.

Ottawa Police arrest person in Grenfell Crescent shooting

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit has charged a person in relation to a shooting that occurred on Saturday, November 12, 2022 on Grenfell Crescent.

The incident occurred around 3:51pm in the 100 block of Grenfell Crescent. A female victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result.

Adonai TEKIE, 23 years-old, of Ottawa has been held and will be appearing in show cause court today. TEKIE has been charged with multiple firearm-related offences, including discharging a firearm and aggravated assault.
