Seeking assistance in Lowertown assault

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit is seeking public assistance following an assault that occurred this morning.

On March 31^st at approximately 3:00 am, officers attended the area of Rideau and Charlotte Streets in response to a stabbing.

Officers located a male victim. He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 2:00 and 3:00 am.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the assault, has dash-cam or CCTV footage.
