Seeking witnesses in Baseline Road fatal collision investigation

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Baseline Rd near Rockway Crescent, March 11. 

At approximately 3:30pm, Frontline patrol responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a 2006 blue Toyota SUV. The driver of the vehicle, a 85 year old man, and the passenger, a 80 year old woman, were transported to the hospital with injuries not deemed life-threatening. Later that day, the woman’s condition was updated to life-threatening. On Saturday, March 13, she succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed or may have dash cam footage of this incident that have not yet spoken to police.
