Seeking witnesses in Chinatown collision investigation
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, September 29, 2021 10:00 am
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a collision that occurred on Bronson Avenue at Somerset Street West on September 28th, 2021.
At approximately 6:52 pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a 2011 black Cadillac Escalade and a pink bicycle. The driver was not injured. The cyclist, a 58 year old man, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in serious condition in hospital.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed, assisted emergency responders or may have dash cam footage of this incident that have not yet spoken to police.
