Sexual Assault in Carlington: seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit (SACA) is investigating a stranger sexual assault that occurred on September 10th, 2021, near the intersection of Laperrière Avenue and Cavan Street.
At approximately 8:30am on September 10, 2021, a 15 year old young woman was with a small group of friends when she was approached and sexually assaulted by an unknown man.
The suspect is described as Caucasian man, possibly with tan skinned, stocky build in his late 30’s to early 40’s, 5’8”(173cm) to 5”10”(178cm). He had short curly dark hair, a full beard and was wearing glasses at the time of the offence. He spoke English with no accent.
SACA Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have been in the area and may have dashcam footage or security footage.
