Shooting Investigation: Highway 417 and Parkdale Avenue, Ottawa Region

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting in the area of the Highway 417 and Parkdale Avenue. in the Ottawa area this evening. The shooting is considered targeted and there is no current risk to public safety. The incident occurred in the east bound lanes on the 417 Highway between Greenbank Road and Parkdale Avenue, at approximately 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Police are seeking any witnesses that may have observed this incident or have any information that would assist the investigation. Furthermore, police are seeking dash cam video which may have captured a large white GMC Yukon SUV (similar to the image attached).
