Shooting investigation on Russell Rd: seeking witnesses
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, September 17, 2021 11:50am
(Ottawa) – The Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred yesterday evening in the 2000 block of Russell Rd.
At approximately 7:00pm on September 16th, 2021, Frontline Officers responded to a call for shots fired. Upon arrival, police interviewed numerous witnesses confirming the shooting. No damage to property or injured persons located.
Two men were seen leaving the area in a dark Sport Utility Vehicle(SUV) .
They are described as follows:
Suspect #1 is described as a Black man, approximately 5”5” (165cm), 25 to 30 years old, athletic build, shoulder length dreads, full beard, light green t-shirt, black pants, black baseball cap, carrying a black shoulder bag.
Suspect #2 is described as a Black man, approximately 6”4” (190cm), 25 to 30 years old, slim build/ skinny, full beard, shoulder-length dreadlocks, green blue and red hoody over his head, blue jeans, black shoulder bag.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have been in the area and may have dashcam footage or security footage.
