Shooting Investigation: police seek witnesses

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting from April 25th, where the victim ended up in the area of Ridge Road near Anderson Road at approximately 9:30 pm. The location of where the shooting occurred is unknown at this time.

Frontline Patrol officers responded to a 911 call where they applied a lifesaving tourniquet to the victim. He was treated by Ottawa Paramedics, transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and is now in stable condition.

Investigators are seeking any witnesses to this incident and asking anyone with information or who may have been in the area at the time that may have dashcam or security footage to contact the Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050.
