Shooting near Ryan Farm Park, police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred yesterday, March 27^th.

At approximately 2:50 pm, officers responded to the to the area of Meadowlands Drive and Merivale Road. A 19-year-old was located with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Investigators believe that the shooting occurred minutes before, near Ryan Farm Park on Parkglen Drive.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information related to this incident, cell phone footage, or any other video of the incident who has not yet spoken with police to contact the Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5050.
