Shots fired in Overbrook: police seeking witnesses
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, January 17, 2022 2:45pm
(Ottawa) – The Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Overbrook area on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
At approximately 11:00pm, Frontline patrol officers responded to a call about shots fired in the 300 block of Queen Mary Street. On scene, police located an adult with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to the hospital by Ottawa Paramedic Service. He remains in critical but stable condition.
Police located several parked vehicles with damage.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time or those who have dashcam or security footage.
