Summerfields Crescent shooting investigation: police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) – The Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred on Summerfields Crescent on December 22^rd, 2021.

At approximately 8:00pm last evening, Frontline patrol officers responded to the area after a 911 call was received indicating that gun shots had been heard.  Shortly after, another 911 call was received concerning a man that had been shot while in his vehicle on Summerfields but had now returned home a few kilometres away. Officers were also dispatched to his location. On scene, they located an adult male with gunshot wounds. He was treated and transported to a local hospital by Ottawa Paramedic Service with serious injuries. He is now in stable condition. 

There is no known threat to public safety at this time.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident. They are also looking for anyone who may have been in the area and may have dashcam footage or video security footage.
