Suspect to identify following an assault at Bluesfest
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, September 13, 2024 10:40 am
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect responsible for an assault on July 9th.
At approximately 10:00 pm, while at a main stage Bluesfest concert, an assault took place near the centre of the field facing the main stage. The altercation began after the suspect had bumped into the victim.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’11” (180 cm), large muscular build, and short “dirty blond” hair. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a red/purple shirt, light-coloured shorts and red shoes.
Anyone with information as to the identity of this suspect or this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5166.
