Additional Charges laid in Orleans Investigation

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service East Criminal Investigation Section is advising that JIMBERE has been charged in relation to three additional incidents. All five incidents have occurred in the Orleans area.
In total, Juste JIMBERE, 19-years-old of Ottawa, has been charged with:
- Assault x3 (1 additional charge)
- Forcible Confinement x4 (2 additional charges)
- Sexual Assault x3 (3 additional charges)
He remains in custody and will appear in court later today.
Investigators believe there still may be other incidents and are seeking further victims.

Assault Charges in Orleans Investigation: Suspect identified
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service East Criminal Investigation Section is advising that the suspect has been identified, arrested and charged. The accused has also been charged in relation to a similar incident from April 2024, also in the Orleans area.
Juste JIMBERE, 19-years-old of Ottawa, has been charged with:
- Assault x2
- Forcible Confinement x2
He will appear in court later today.

Investigators believe there may be other incidents and are seeking further victims.

Suspect to identify following an assault in Orleans
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service East Criminal Investigation Section is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect responsible for an assault of a 14-year-old girl on Tuesday, August 27th.
At approximately 10:30 am, the victim was walking in the area of Princess Louise Drive and Thurlow Street when the suspect grabbed her from behind, put his hands around her waist, covered her mouth and pulled her back towards him. The victim was able to get away and the suspect took off on foot.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, tall with a thin build, and short dreadlocks. At the time of the incident he was seen wearing a black sport jersey with the number “88” in white on the front and back and dark pants.
The Ottawa Police is reminding parents to frequently review tips for children with respect to safety rules. Parents should teach kids what to do when approached by a stranger. Where possible, avoid walking alone.
However, the following tips are offered to children walking alone:
- Ensure a family member or caregiver knows your route and arrival time;
- Do not talk to strangers;
- Do not accept rides from strangers;
- If an unknown adult is seeking your attention, do not approach them or the vehicle;
- If being followed, go to a public place, a known residence or shout for help.
