Suspect to identify following an assault on Dalhousie Street
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, September 17, 2024 1:45 pm
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect responsible for an assault on September 7th on Dalhousie Street near St. Patrick Street.
At approximately 5:30 pm, two female victims were walking down the street when the suspect intentionally bumped into them. The suspect then began assaulting the females, eventually knocking one of them to the ground.
The victims sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25-30 years old, slim build with short dark hair and a goatee. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a burgundy tank top, black zip-up sweatshirt, black pants, white running shoes, and a blue and white bandana on his head. He was also carrying multiple reusable shopping bags.
