Suspect to identify following an assault on George Street
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, November 28, 2024 2:07 pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section is seeking the public assistance to identify a suspect responsible for an assault in the 100 block of George Street on October 27th.
At approximately 3:35 am, the victim was outside of a licenced establishment when the suspect approached them, and a verbal altercation ensued. The suspect then physically assaulted the victim.
The victim sustained minor physical injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male, 27-35 years old, approximately 6’0” (183 cm), with an athletic build and dark facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a white and tan plaid jacket, with a grey hooded sweatshirt underneath, black pants and white running shoes.
