Suspect to identify for sexual assault on LRT near Blair Station
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, December 10, 2024 9:50 am
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect responsible for a sexual assault on October 28th aboard an OC Transpo Light Rail Train.
At approximately 3:30 pm, while travelling East bound towards Blair station, the victim was approached by the suspect and began an interaction. The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect then exited the train at Blair station and boarded a bus toward the east end of the city.
The suspect is described as a black male, with an average build and dark facial hair. At the time of the incident, he is seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt under a black puffy jacket, black sweatpants and running shoes. He was also seen carrying a dark backpack.
