Suspect to identify for theft and fraud
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, November 6, 2024 1:30 pm
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a theft and subsequent frauds at Billings Bridge Shopping Centre on September 5th.
At approximately 11:30am the suspect stole the elderly victim’s purse while they were shopping. Over the following hours the suspect then made multiple purchases using the victim’s credit cards.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5’8” (173 cm), with a medium build and dark facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants, a white baseball cap and at times wore a white medical mask and sunglasses.
