Suspect to identify in a New Year’s Eve assault

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect in an assault on December 31, 2024, in the Lyon Street North and Albert Street area.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., the suspect and victim had a brief exchange before the victim was physically assaulted.
The victim did not sustain serious injuries.
The suspect is described as a white woman, around 20 to 30 years old, with blonde hair. At the time of the incident, she was seen wearing a long, white winter jacket and carrying a black bag.
Anyone with information about this individual's identity or about this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section at 613-236-1222, extension 2193.
